About the Quesnel Quilters' Guild:
The Quesnel Quilter's Guild is a diverse group of women - all ages and all abilities - who meet regularly to share their love of fabric and quilting, and to practice the art of quilting.
At present, there are 62 members, some with years of involvement and some new to quilting and the Guild.
Our members are committed to making Community Comfort Quilts, which we donate to Amata Transition House, Victim's Services, the Fire Department, Social Services, the RCMP, the Ministry for Children and Families, GR Baker Memorial Hospital and Palliative Care. These quilts are given to children and young teens in crisis for whom the comfort of a handmade quilt provides much warmth and comfort.
A workshop to make, and add to our supply of these quilts was held in Fall 2015.
Each year the Guild brings in a teacher from 'out of town' to show us a new technique and spend a day or two with members who are eager to learn. Stay tuned - a decision on this year's teacher will be finalized very soon and the details posted here shortly thereafter.
Every three years we host a major quilt show and the next one will be held in May 2018.
